Privacy policy

The short version: Brew & Bloom shows ads from Google that are never personalized, and the app never asks to track you. Anonymous usage statistics help us improve the game. There’s no account, and the app never asks for your name or email.

This policy explains what information the Brew & Bloom app for iPhone and iPad (“the app”) and this website (“the site”) handle, and why. Brew & Bloom is made by Rabie Ayyach (“we”, “us”).

The app

What we don’t do

  • We don’t show personalized ads, and the app never asks for permission to track you, so it can’t read your device’s advertising identifier.
  • We don’t sell your personal data.
  • There is no account to create, and the app never asks for your name, email or contacts.

Your progress stays with you

Your levels, leaves, island and settings are saved on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, the app keeps a copy in Apple’s iCloud key-value storage so your progress syncs between your iPhone and iPad. That copy lives in your own iCloud account: we can’t see or access it. Apple handles it under the Apple Privacy Policy. To remove it, delete the app’s iCloud data in the iOS Settings app (your name → iCloud → Manage Storage).

Game Center

If you use Game Center, the app reports your achievements and leaderboard scores to Apple. Apple shows them to you and, depending on your Game Center settings, to your friends. We don’t receive your Game Center details. You can sign out of Game Center or change its settings at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules gentle reminders (for example, when a new Daily Brew is ready) on your device. They are not sent from a server and don’t need any information about you. You can turn them off in the app or in the iOS Settings app.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads through Google AdMob: short videos you can choose to watch for an extra hint or to double the dew from a win, and an occasional short ad between levels. Ads are non-personalized: Google picks them from the context, such as the app and your rough location, not from a profile of you. They are limited to content rated for general audiences.

To show ads, count them, limit how often you see the same one and prevent fraud, Google’s software in the app processes information such as your device’s identifier for vendor (a code that is the same for all our apps on your device), your IP address and the rough location worked out from it, device and app details (such as the model, iOS version and language), and how you interact with ads (for example, whether you watch or tap one). Google handles this as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, the app shows Google’s consent form so you can choose how your information is used for ads. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy choices in the app’s Settings. The Grove Keeper Pack turns off the ads between levels.

Purchases

The Grove Keeper Pack is bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells the app what you have bought; we never see your payment details.

Anonymous usage statistics (TelemetryDeck)

The app sends anonymous usage signals to TelemetryDeck, so we can see things like which levels people find hard and whether the game runs smoothly. A signal names an event (for example, finishing a level) with basic details such as the app version, iOS version and device model. It carries a hashed (one-way) user code rather than your device’s identifier, and no personal data such as your name, email or contacts. TelemetryDeck handles signals under its privacy policy.

Content and ad settings updates

The app may check this site for new levels and worlds, and for a small settings file that says how often ads appear. Like any request on the internet, this shows your IP address and basic technical details (such as the app version) to the server. The request carries no account, device identifier or personal information, and we don’t keep logs of it ourselves. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes these requests to deliver and protect the site (see below).

This website

The site uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes visitors’ IP addresses and request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

The contact form

When you send a message through the contact page, we store:

  • what you write in the form: the topic, your message, and your name, email, level, device and app version if you add them;
  • your browser’s user agent (to help with bug reports);
  • a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to stop spam and limit how many messages are sent in an hour. We can’t turn it back into your IP address.

To keep out spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is sending the message by looking at signals from your browser. It doesn’t use cookies to track you, and Cloudflare handles that data under its Turnstile privacy addendum.

If you email us instead, your message is kept in our mailbox, hosted by MXroute, under the same rules.

We use this only to read and answer your message and to improve the game. We don’t add you to any mailing list. Messages are stored in a Cloudflare database and kept as long as we need them to handle your request, and no longer than two years. You can ask us to delete your message at any time.

Children

Brew & Bloom is a game for a general audience and is suitable for all ages. Its ads are non-personalized and limited to family-friendly content rated for general audiences, and the app never asks anyone for their name, email or contacts. The contact form is meant for adults; if you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to send a message for you. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. We don’t keep an account or profile for players, so in practice this concerns messages you have sent us. For ads, use Privacy choices in the app (in the EEA and UK) or Google’s controls described in its policy. To make a request to us, email [email protected] or use the contact page. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering your message, or on your consent, to process it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app or site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
